To quote Charles Bray, who runs the Indietribe website: "...a single line from a book can stick in one's memory and be passed round for eternity." Not that I'm hoping that anything I write will be remembered for that long, but when Mr. Bray sent out a request to authors whose books are listed on his site to send in a line or two from their novels, I jumped at the chance. His first collection of ten quotes is out now, and aren't I the proud Daddy to see his baby listed first? Some of the other lines are quite catchy and may make you interested in learning more about the book (and maybe even buying one? That's the general idea, but we'll see). I'm not sure what it means that two of the one-liners had to do with urination; Perhaps it's a new trend in modern fiction that I'm not aware of. Anyway, these quotes do give writers a chance to compare and contrast little snippets of their work with that of others.
