British author Morgen Bailey runs an Author Spotlight on her site (http://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/), and this Monday, May 21 my interview with her will appear. She takes great pride in introducing new and independent authors to her readers, and for me it's an opportunity to get some exposure for my novel, The Guilty, in the British market. As soon as the exact link is up I'll post it on this blog. Please feel free to comment if you find anything interesting or new there.
Danse Macabre: Close Encounters With the Reaper wins top prize in the Compilations/Anthology category.
I spend much of my time worrying about whether people are reading and/or liking my novel, The Guilty, so sometimes I forget about what's going on with some of my smaller "children," ie. my short stories. I was quite happy to receive a press release, which I've excerpted below, announcing the success of the Danse Macabre Anthology at the Paris Book Festival. Of course I did write only one small story among the two dozen or so in the book, so I take no credit for its success. But I will at least take credit for not writing anything that was so bad it ruined the book's chances. I am of course proud of the over-all book's success, and also of the fact that my story, Out of the Sun, can be found in the same volume as the works of several excellent and internationally acclaimed authors, a volume which is now also internationally acclaimed.
Here's part of the press release (and don't I suddenly feel like a big shot author!):
